What this site collects, what it doesn’t, and what third parties do.

The short version
Ramen Ledger doesn’t ask for your personal information and doesn’t store anything you type into a calculator. The calculators run entirely in your browser. The site does show advertising through Google AdSense, and advertising partners use cookies. Details below.
What you enter into the calculators
Every tool runs in your browser using JavaScript. Income, rent, deposit amounts, dates, grades, names and any other figures you type are processed on your own device. They’re never sent to this site’s servers, and they aren’t stored, logged or kept.
To save you retyping, some tools hand one number (for example, your rent or a total) to the next tool using your browser’s session storage. That data stays in your browser, is visible only to this site in that tab, and is cleared automatically when you close the tab. We never receive it.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the hosting service that serves these pages may record standard technical information in server logs: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the date and time of the request. This is used for security and to understand overall traffic, not to identify you.
Cookies and advertising
This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. In connection with that:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in the EU/UK, Your Online Choices.
Ad networks may also use web beacons or similar technologies in the ads they serve. This site has no access to or control over those cookies. Where the law requires it, you’ll be asked for consent before non-essential cookies are set, and you can decline personalized ads and still use every tool. Analytics
If analytics are used on this site, they’re used in aggregate to understand which tools are useful: page views, referring sites, and general location at the country or region level. Analytics providers may set their own cookies, subject to the opt-outs above.
Your rights
Because this site doesn’t collect or store the information you enter, there’s generally nothing held about you to access, correct, export or delete. If you’re in the EEA, the UK, California or another place that gives you data rights, and you believe we hold information about you, contact us through the contact page and we’ll respond.
California residents: this site does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for college students and other adults. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
